Fredericks Adventure Playground
Fredericks Adventure Playground is a 900m2 site in Walworth, South London. The site had been closed since 2020 and had become overgrown, with some equipment left in place. This upgrade project comprised the construction of an accessible and inclusive play space for children and young people, which included active spaces, areas for natural play and fitness, and informal seating. Work included the clearance and demolition of the condemned area due to asbestos contamination, and the design and installation of complex metal edging and railing. Planted areas and tree planting were part also of the scheme.
